Having been used to modern cars with tidy luggage areas, im thinking of investing in a decent boot liner kit. Or are they just unnecessary and get in the way when your after access to your spare?

Found these online, anyone used them and are they any good?
Fancy boot liners

Quite fancy a red one with black piping!

When doing my Sprite I had a look at boot liners, but in the end I decided to have the standard bit of carpet, livened up with a bit of black spray paint, and a Newton Commercial boot lid liner. What swayed me away from teh liner kits was the spare wheel, battery and washer bottle access. Also I mounted an amp on the rear seat back in the boot.

Got a boot liner in mine and TBH, access to the washer bottle is a doddle, just lift out the side panel, the access to the battery / spare wheel is lifting out the main floor panel after the side one. I think they are a canny finishing touch, but everyone has different likes and dislikes. I'll see if I can get some pics of it uploaded tomorrow (if I remember as I will be drinking a lot of rum tonight after the day I've just had! wacko.gif ).

Ive made a few of my own design...From plywood covered in carpet...I make a small door in the right hand side for washer bottle access, and a lift out bit where the battery is....The cars ive made them for did not carry a spare wheel, so i didnt have that to contend with...(They carried emergency tyre foam instead, which is ok unless you get a catastrophic tyre failure )....Bill

I had one in mine and had no problems accessing things as the panels are easily removed but to be honest we took it out for camping etc as it limited space to shove things as it hide all the hidy holes lol biggrin.gif

Got a boot liner kit, and as my mini's got the washer bottle in the engine bay it's not a problem.
