1991 Cooper

Possibly thinking of selling due to knee troubles!! the driving position in this is crippling me on long journeys!

this is my lovely '91 plate cooper, it has the sportspac arches with new 12x6 deepdish anthrecite minilites and yoko 539 tyres (bought new and fitted 2 months ago) its had a fair bit done to it prior to my ownership:
First registered sept 30th 1991.
front floors, inner and outer sills, respray in brooklands green with old english white roof and bonnet stripes (ive since added a vynil chequer roof decal) recent chrome bumbers with overiders front and back, spotlights on front (not wired up though) chrome boot hinges, chrome battery box, twin monza fuel filler caps (single tank so nearside is a dummy)
Engine: 1275 with 1.75" carb and K&N filter, stage 1 kit with twin centre exit DTM exhaust - sound NICE!! recent head gasket change, thermostat housing and water pump, also recently replaced the heater matrix (at green & whites), and had new solid front subframe mounts fitted (again at green & whites). 4 core radiator, recently replaced rear shoes, brake pistons, pipes (flexi's fitted) Metro 4 pot callipers with vented front discs, recent top and bottom ball joints, Hi-Lo's on the rear. Could benefit from a tune up as it has a bit of overrun when switching off when warm, I gues the carb just needs adjusting.
Interior: genuine cooper half leather seats with matching door cards, walnut full dash, mountney walnut trim steering wheel, walnut centre arm rest, new JVC CD player (fitted 2 months ago) new carpet set with matching mini floor mats, chrome cooper gear knob, cobra alarm/imobiliser, boot liner kit.

Went through its last MOT with NO advisories.

Only looking at selling due to knee troubles and the driving position in this is aggrevating it, ive only used it on dry days comuting to and from work,and the odd day out to shows etc. always garaged at night.

Really after a straight sale so I can then spend some time searching for a suitable replacement! although I do like MX5's so may be interested in trades for a good one!!

I know ive not had it long, and its a shame to part. I had it checked over at green & whites just after i got it and they said it was a good solid car with nothing major/drastic standing out as needed doing!

I'll get some more better pics as soon as I can but for now the on on here is the most recent.

It stands me £3000 up to now so hoping to get back near to that!?

13x6 minilites

got a set of 4 tired 13x6 minilites, bought these off here as a stop gap till i got my new wheels, they need a refurb but are perfectly useable as they are. laquer peeling and pitted but all are straight and all are balanced ready to fit. tyres are 2x dunlop sp sport, 1x yokohama 539 and 1xsimme, all have decent useable tread 3-5mm. looking for what i paid which is £80. for an extra £10 i can throw in a new set of wheel nuts and 4 locking wheel nuts!

perfect for trying out 13" rims if your thinking about it before committing to new ones!!

centre console

If anyone has a centre console thay dont want then let me know, I'm after one would love a walnut one but would settle for a black one! i know theyre freely available new but I've just blew most my dosh on new alloys so not got a lot spare!!

roof decals

thinking of getting a black chequer decal on the roof anyone know wheres goodto get one from?? spotted plenty on ebay but i want a decent quality one and dont want o buy one off there to find out its naff!!

12" or 13" wheels???

Right, I really cant make my mind up now about new wheels! I like the look of 13's and since i had the sportspac alloys on before and now have a set of temp 13" minilites I do like they way they look. Howvere, Ive read many comments that 12's handle better!? so anyone got a set of 12" deepdish minilites on their car they can show me a pic of? just wondering how they'd look with the sportspack arches ive got on!?

Is there any vast difference between 12's and 13's?
