Calling all the guitarists in NEMC

Since I don't know how many other people attached to NEMC play guitar (we'll include bass in that too), I've decided to put myself up to crash and burn....

The nights are starting to cut in, and was well dark by 8:30 last night. So I've decided that this coming Thursday (3rd September) I'd like to invite all those who can play to ANY extent to bring along an acoustic guitar to the Dun Cow for a bit of an informal jam: no playlist, no real audience (we're going to try and be around the corner at the far end of 'our' room) just a bunch of people who can strum a few chords or play a few lines having a laugh together.

If ther's only me, there's no real point in doing this, but even if there's just 2 of us we can make a noise.

Whaddaya think?

External hard drive or extra internal hard drive

Our rapidly aging pc's 40GB hard drive, which is tiny nowadays but was more than big enough 5 years ago, is regularly getting past 75% full. Admittedly 17GB of that is my iPod stuff, but that's another matter.

Not being the most IT minded peeps, we're thinking about getting a huge (500gb-1TB) external hard drive that will run off a USB 2.0. This saves any internal tinkering and means all music/photos etc that aren't always needed can be removed from the little memory and kept safe(!).

BUT, would it be as easy and/or cheaper to get an extra additional huge internal hard drive fitted to the pc and have the operating system on one drive and everything else on the other?

All advice welcome, as long as it's not derogatory.

Car Meet at Metro Centre

Wednesday, being the 2nd Wednesday in the month, means that it's the cruise car meet at Toy R Us / McDonalds from 7pm onwards.

As is, white, or black?

OK, been going tappy-tappy on t'internet and feel like I need to change a few things on the little yellow auto. The thing is, it still looks ok (apart from the rust beginning to come through) but I don't know if I'd like to go down the white roof, white mirrors and maybe even white arches route, or go for the Britax Cooper kind of look with black roof, black mirrors and black arches/stripes.

Rachel likes the mini the way it is, and I can sort of see the point, but I just fancy doing 'something' more with the car.

Or should I see about getting a Bini so no one will mind if I make it look trashy.......
